If you have been experiencing gasping, pains in the chest, and all kinds of unknown symptoms that follow after some kind of emotional distress, then most likely you are constantly going through a panic attack or an anxiety panic disorder. This is basically a psychological disorder in which the pains caused by emotional distress convert themselves to physical pains, which can result to shortening of the breath, chest pains, coughing, wheezing, and even fainting spells.

If you have been experiencing an anxiety panic disorder, then you don’t have to worry because there are solutions on how to rid yourself of panic attacks. Here are some of the basics:

• Breathing exercises – these are normally taught to patients who experience panic disorders because it helps calm the nerves, relax their bodies, and of course clear their minds from all negative thoughts. When a person experiences a panic attack, they normally have the tendency to cough and hyperventilate. Being able master breathing exercises will help you gain control over your emotions and the disorder.

• Medications – these are normally prescribed by doctors and psychiatrists for patients with anxiety disorders. When taken at the prescribed dosage, these medications will help in preventing panic attacks and to keep the person from feeling negative emotions that might cause such attacks.

• Engaging in Hobbies and Interests – this is one of the most interesting ways since you get to do the things that you love or are interested in. Psychiatrists would normally encourage their patients to do activities that they love simply because it keeps it makes them happy.
